INSPECTIONS & RE-CERTIFICATIONS
As per the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1891.4:2009 Section (9), all fall arrest systems and equipment must be inspected and re-certified by a competent height safety inspector at least every 12 months.
This includes the following solutions:
- Anchor points;
- Static lines;
- Ladders fitted with a static line;
- Abseil systems
Systems located in corrosive or harsh environments need to be inspected and re-certified every 6 months.
We also highly recommend the periodical visual inspection of all other height safety solutions for any damage or loose fixings along with basic wear and tear preventative maintenance.
Whether your system is newly installed or pre-existing, the ongoing inspection of components ensures that it is in complete working order and is continuously maintained.
Our experienced team offer both first time certification and re-certification services that usually consist of the following:
- Force load and proof testing componentry;
- Checking fixings and seal integrity;
- Checking fittings and harness gear;
- Wear and tear preventative maintenance;
- Updating signage and tags
Upon completion of an inspection, any deterioration or damage to the system or equipment will be reported so that we can provide the necessary maintenance services. A certificate of compliance will be issued once the system successfully completes all our tests.
Our team will notify you when your system is next due for re-certification.
